I have it set to 70 and not using the timer it still turns off after 15 hours. The heater is not running all the time just when it needs to.

OK, thank you for the feedback. Do you have a plan to set a timer for turning this device on and off?

Another important point to note is that due to the safety measures of the equipment, it will automatically shut down if it gets too hot or has been running for more than 24 hours.
